Dwight School is seeking a self-directed and energetic educator to teach Upper School Chemistry (Grades 10-12), beginning in the Fall 2018.
Our Chemistry program is a successful component of our International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programmes at Dwight.
Chemistry classes take place in a newly renovated and well-stocked chemistry lab.
Instruction is supported by a great team of colleagues.
We work together as a team of science teachers to maintain the lab spaces and support student research projects.
Successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (required)
Master’s degree in chemistry or science education (strongly recommended)
A record of success teaching to a range of learners
Experience with digital data-loggers, sensors, and other forms of educational technology (strongly recommended)
Experience with the International Baccalaureate, specifically the Diploma Programme and/or Middle Years Programme (recommended)
Experience with guiding and supporting student research projects across the range of sciences.
Strong communication skills and professionalism including schedule flexibility.
