The Ramaz School is seeking to appoint an Assistant Head of Middle School for the 2018 – 2019 academic year. In collaboration with the Head of the Middle School, the Assistant Head will help supervise faculty development, curricular initiatives (particularly Judaic Studies), hiring, student behavioral expectations, student and faculty attendance, standardized testing, and scheduling. The individual who fills this position will become a critical member of a dynamic administrative team eager to innovate to meet the contemporary needs of an outstanding Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School.
Five years of middle school experience
A. or equivalent
Understanding of middle school curriculum and the social/emotional makeup of middle schoolers
Strong communication skills needed to work with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
Personally adaptive, flexible, imaginative, and dedicated to middle school education
