San Francisco Friends School, a Quaker school located in the Mission District of San Francisco, seeks an experienced full time lower school music specialist with a middle school component for the 2018-19 school year.

The school has vibrant and creative programs in the arts, service learning, technology, social justice, and social emotional learning, as well as the core academic subjects, mindfully choosing projects that meet our goals for student learning. We are looking for an experienced music specialist who is compelled by the school’s mission and committed to music education. Candidates should have a strong background in both choral and instrumental music instruction and be deeply invested in collaborating with colleagues and working closely with students. Responsibilities include close teamwork, curriculum development, committee involvement, attendance at special events, participation in school assemblies, and support of student musical performances.
