Bennett Day Summer Camp is seeking a STEM Director to instruct campers (ages 5-10) in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This is a fun job! Campers will have opportunities to work in the school’s state of the art facilities as well as take field trips all over the city. Bennett offers competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.
Experience teaching in a STEM environment
Enthusiasm for educating!
Ability to create exciting and FUN lesson plans
Team player able to collaborate with other counselors and camp directors
Maintain materials and equipment in TESLab
Prepare lessons and projects in advance that focus around STEM
Participate in three family/community evening or weekend events prior to camp
Participate in camp counselor training and camp set up prior to camp
Must submit health history record and examination form prior to first day of work.
Ability to interact with all age levels.
Experience developing or running Stem Programs
Some physical requirements may include: standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requirement for eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to make projects and assist campers. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/program.
