Lincoln Academy, founded in 1801, located in midcoast Maine, is an independent, comprehensive day and boarding town academy that serves students from many towns along the midcoast, as well as students from other states and countries.
Lincoln Academy is seeking an experienced Social Studies teacher with broad skills to join our program. Teaching duties may include US History, A.P. European History, and Psychology with the possibility of teaching elective offerings. Specific teaching assignments may change from year to year based on the needs of the student body.
Preference will be given to individuals holding a Master's Degree in History or a related field. In addition to teaching responsibilities, faculty members are also required to advise a group of students, collaborate with colleagues and students in a diverse academic setting, and participate in some duties associated with the school’s boarding program. Experience with second language learners is helpful.
