Torah Academy of Bergen County (TABC) is a college preparatory boys Yeshiva High School that services a growing enrollment of 310 students from the New York / New Jersey metropolitan area. The school offers a challenging dual curriculum and is a model for successful Modern Orthodox Jewish education in the country.
The STEM Coordinator will envision, plan and lead the building of a state-of-the-art Makerspace as well as develop a student-centered, inquiry-based curriculum that will span four years of high school. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator who has a love of and proficiency in Technology, Engineering, and/or Robotics. The STEM Coordinator will be in charge of providing/organizing extracurricular opportunities for students as well as professional development for STEM staff.
Strong aptitude in Mathematics or Science
Can promote effective instructional practices that are aligned with NGSS standards
Can provide effective classroom consultation and program evaluation
Can provide direction and leadership in the development of a comprehensive STEM curriculum
Advanced degree in either Education or a STEM-related field and/or a STEM certification
Minimum of five years teaching STEM or a STEM-related field at the high school level
