Walden School, a small, independent, student-centered school, is looking for our next High School Social Studies teacher and student advisor. This position is tasked with implementing a hands-on, project-based social studies program that focuses on 21st-century pedagogy. This position will include teaching Geography, History, and social studies electives. As an advisor, this position will implement an advisory program that is based in social/emotional curriculum. Candidates should feel mentoring students is equally as important as teaching content.
Ideal candidates will have a master’s degree in education or related field, two years experience teaching in a classroom setting and willingness to participate in extracurricular activities.
