St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for the position of Upper School Physics Teacher. This is a full-time position beginning in mid-August, 2018. This is an exceptional opportunity, as the school is completing construction of the $25 million Hugh K. Schilling Math and Science Center, which will provide distinctive, state-of-the-art facilities for math, science, computer science, robotics, and engineering. A number of exciting science electives have also been designed for the coming school year, and the teacher who fills this position will have the opportunity to teach some of those electives. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in physics or a closely-related field (master's preferred) and should have experience teaching upper-level physics: the ideal candidate will also bring substantial background and experience in other areas of science, and/or in engineering, robotics, or computer science. Candidates should be able to advise students effectively and otherwise contribute to the life of the school outside the classroom.
