FAIS currently seeks for a part time Learning Specialist in our Middle School. The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program that provides support for classroom teachers and specialized instruction for students who need extra academic support or require an advanced program of learning in order to reach their full educational potential. The Student Support Teacher main role is to advise on support needed, communicate with parents and collaborates closely with all staff members to implement the Special Educational Needs Policy of the Gilkey Middle School.
Minimum Requirements: Intense understanding of children with special education needs. Experience with student support plans in the middle school (IEP's, 504).
