The position of Director of Auxiliary Programs presents a tremendous opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded educator to make a meaningful and lasting impact on Kingsley and its community. The successful candidate should be passionate about working with Preschool through Sixth Grade students (ages three to twelve), and delivering a robust and enriching Extracurricular and Summer experience for all learners. The Director takes ownership of planning, developing and implementing a wide range of extracurricular and summer activities to support Kingsley’s educational mission. This individual is responsible for the oversight of these programs.
The Director of Auxiliary Programs is responsible for maintaining all health, safety and liability requirements following school guidelines.This individual is a member of the Educational Leadership Team and reports to the Head of School. The Director of Auxiliary Programs also works closely with the Chief Financial Officer to set revenue goals, fees, pricing structure and compensation for enrichment staff and contractors. The Director also oversees the After School Program Coordinator who provides logistical and operational support for all After School and Enrichment programs.

Design, implement and evaluate all curricula and programs for Kingsley’s Auxiliary Programs including After School, Enrichment Classes, Vacation Care, and the Summertime Program.
Auxiliary Program Leadership:
-Design, enhance, expand and evaluate program offerings in alignment with a strategic vision for extracurricular programs.
-Collaborate with school leadership, administration and faculty to develop developmentally appropriate curriculum for programs that extend the educational mission of the school and meet the needs and interests of families.
-Create revenue growth opportunities.
-Identify partnerships that enhance auxiliary program offerings, and manage contractors and partners to ensure quality control of their work.
-Annually seek and analyze input from participants and staff regarding the quality of their experience.
-Identify and hire teachers and staff for Auxiliary Programs.
-Supervise, mentor, and provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff engaged in the program.
-Provide an appropriate, safe, caring environment for all students, staff, faculty and program participants.
-Provide excellent customer service through timely and effective written and personal communication.
-Coordinate child care for select school-run events.
Coordinate with the Business Office to :
-Analyze and manage enrollment to inform future programmatic opportunities and to ensure the realization of financial goals.
-Plan and manage all associated budgets for Auxiliary Programs including coordinating registration, billing, and fulfillment of vendor contracts.
-Develop and provide accurate pricing and invoicing for programs and vendors.
-Monitor revenue and expenses per trimester in accordance with budgetary restrictions for bottom line performance and to ensure profitability.
Marketing and Recruitment
-Collaborate with Kingsley’s Director of Marketing & Communications to create promotional materials that are specific to Auxiliary Programs.
-Develop and manage event(s) designed to educate and energize the community about Kingsley’s Auxiliary Programs.
-Maintain and update School database to ensure effective record-keeping.
-BA/BS degree required (Majors in the field of education preferred).
-Minimum 2 - 4 years working in an educational or non-profit setting developing programs for children ages 3 - 12.
-Ability to partner, mentor, and supervise faculty to enhance curriculum and community.
-Commitment to professional development and best practices in education.
-Desire to work with children ages 3 - 12.
-Knowledge of or ability to quickly earn technological systems and tools including the Google platform, Campsite, Blackbaud, and MailChimp.
-Ability to multitask, analyze data to inform decision making and independently create and meet project deadlines.
-A calm, helpful, and positive demeanor.
