The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 boys’ school, seeks a full time upper school science teacher with the ability to teach chemistry beginning in August 2018. The successful applicant will teach up to five sections of science, serve as an academic advisor, and be actively involved in all facets of school life.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, at least three years of experience teaching science, the ability to teach Advanced Placement level courses and the skills to incorporate STEAM activities and principles into the curriculum. A masters' degree in a related field is desired as well as knowledge of best practices of instructional technologies and pedagogical techniques most beneficial to adolescent boys. An interest in working with students of diverse backgrounds and an appreciation for the value of a single-sex education will be highly valued.
