The Bryn Mawr School is searching for a full time Upper School Spanish teacher to begin August, 2018. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background with a degree in Spanish, and secondary school teaching experience. The candidate should believe in the use of immersion to help students build a solid foundation in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish. He/she should show a passion for foreign languages and cultures, and be eager to share his/her knowledge to help students develop greater understanding of the world around them. A desire to be innovative with the curriculum, to collaborate with colleagues, and to take an active role in teaching in a one-to one laptop classroom are essential. Bryn Mawr enrolls highly motivated girls and is a school that values not only intellectual pursuits but also building strong relationships and community.
