Bayside Academy seeks an exceptional, experienced Humanities instructor for the Upper School (grades 7-12). This teacher must be versatile in what courses he or she can potentially teach within the English and History departments. He or she must be adept in the instruction of writing and appreciate the role that document analysis and critical thinking have in a robust Humanities curriculum. He or she must be dynamic in their instructional approach, skilled in differentiation, and capable of collaborating with peers across disciplines. He or she must be knowledgeable in interdisciplinary content and pedagogy, and able to meet the needs of all learners. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are vital. Relationships are the cornerstone to student success, and this individual must be able to build strong, trusting relationships with all community stakeholders--students, colleagues, and parents.
