Norfolk Collegiate School seeks qualified candidates for a fourth grade teaching position. The ideal candidates will be experienced, enthusiastic, able to work effectively with colleagues and parents, as well as have keen insight into elementary age children. The candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge regarding the intellectual, social, emotional and physical developmental needs of nine and ten year olds. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to provide a student centered classroom environment and positive learning experience, differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of students, as well as, foster the intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills. A strong work ethic and a desire to be a lifelong learner should also be qualities this teacher possesses.
Experience and Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in education and a kindergarten through fifth grade teaching certification is preferred.
Previous teaching experience in elementary education is preferred.
