Headwaters School, a Pre-K through grade 12 independent day school serving 540 students across its three campuses in Austin, TX, is seeking a Photography Teacher in our Middle and High School for the 2018-2019 academic year. Teaching Job Requirements: - At least three years prior experience teaching photography in a Middle or High School setting
- Bachelor's Degree required, degree in Photography, Art, Education or a related field preferred
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the history of fine art photography, contemporary art practices and photography as fine art
- Commitment to a professional studio practice and exhibition of art works
- Understanding of both digital and darkroom processes
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills: - Advanced Degree, preferred
- Working knowledge of a variety of artistic styles and visual art teaching methodologies.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) experience and training, preferred

This is a full-time, 12-month salaried, exempt position and compensation is competitive for the greater Austin area.
