Cheshire Academy seeks a full-time History teacher for the upcoming 2018-19 academic year.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding background in History of the Americas, World Cultures and Current World Issues. a substantive knowledge of the historiography in her or his field, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a desire to work with a diverse community of students from throughout the world.
Other responsibilities include:
Coaching and/or leading extra-curricular activities;
Weekend team responsibilities;
Residential/dormitory duties (if you are a residential faculty member);
Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain an CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students.

Classroom teaching responsibilities include 4 or 5 courses per semester in grade level 9-PG. Several years of prior teaching experience, a background of integrating technology with best pedagogical practices, and experience with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in history or related field is required. Applicants must be energetic, passionate educators who embrace their participation in the entire boarding school experience.
