Kamehameha Schools (KS) has an 'Oiwi Research and Design Consultant (Limited Term) position available at our Hawaii Campus. The deadline to apply is: 4/22/2018.
Summary of Duties:
Leads research and design in 'Oiwi STEAM teaching and learning to accelerate the development of 'Oiwi Edge haumana within and beyond the campus.
Identifies common threads to research and data across incubation labs and prototypes to design a system and tools for 'Oiwi teaching and learning that can be practiced, improved and accelerated by others.
Supports academic initiatives and outcomes through research and design to advance learnings into the regular campus and other educational programs designed to grow local and global leaders who will thrive in an ever-changing world.
Leads and motivates educational professionals and the community to create innovations that support on-going progress and achievement in Hawaiian culture-based education.
Builds a community of researchers and designers to continuously create and inform teaching practices that are innovative and grounded in culture.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Master's Degree earned from a nationally accredited college or university, in Education, Hawaiian Studies, Quantitative Measurement or other related field.
Summary of Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of related experience.
Leadership of a group, division or department with kuleana to meet program objectives/goals aligned with designated mission and vision.
Instructional design and planning in culturally-based environments.
Strong knowledge of research methodologies, tools and other resources; knowledge of quantitative and qualitative approaches to research and components of each (such as interviewing skills, quality control, data integrity, etc.).
