Parker School seeks a part-time or full-time English Teacher to instruct upper school students in a college-preparatory environment. Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) with prior experience teaching English. Additional opportunities to increase from part-time to full-time status may be available for candidates with skills and or experience in the following areas: coaching competitive debate, coordinating service learning, journalism and online publication, and yearbook advising.
As a faculty member, she/he will teach, communicate with students, families and colleagues, fulfill faculty duties, and participate in extracurricular activities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: willingness and ability to learn, participate, and be active in a private school community; strong problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills; self motivated with high work standards and attention to detail.
