FULL-TIME POSITION Community School in Sun Valley, Idaho, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Learning Specialist to join the school’s existing staff for the 2018-19 school year. This is a full-time position, with benefits, beginning August 2018. The successful candidate must have a love for working with a range of student ages, commensurate skills, and demonstrate a willing and flexible approach to education.
Responsibilities include conducting supported classroom sessions, evaluating and providing direct support and instruction to students with identified needs, and working to strategically support the general education of faculty through the implementation of each enrolled student’s Accommodation Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to connect with students and communicate clearly, and in a timely manner, with students, faculty, and parents. Candidates also should understand and embrace the unique Community School culture of a small independent school in a mountain resort town. Above all, the successful candidate must be flexible, dynamic, and able to work collaboratively. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, experience working with students with learning differences, and be able to work across multiple grade levels.
