The successful candidate will be a nurturing and flexible person who has a passion for teaching and who understands the developmental, cognitive and physical needs of children ages 5-15. The candidate will have a commitment to our school’s mission, demonstrating teamwork, collaboration and service to the school community.
Foote School students participate regularly in a well-developed program that is age-appropriate and sequential from kindergarten to ninth grade. Beginning 7th grade, students may choose to play on interscholastic teams after school. The PE Department emphasizes respect, team spirit, sportsmanship, fair play, adherence to the rules, independence, and the building of practical skills and physical fitness through cooperative games, exercises and challenging activities.

Bachelor’s Degree in PE/Health
Experience teaching Physical Education to elementary and middle school children
Experience coaching middle school students
Understanding of differentiation as it relates to teaching physical education
Commitment to professional development
Experience integrating health concepts into PE as well as teaching health is preferred
