The Strings Instructor is responsible for leading string classes for grades 5-12 with students participating at levels ranging from beginning to advanced. Teaching responsibilities also include an Introduction to Guitar class for Upper School students.
Responsible for producing four concerts during the school year and at additional school events as needed
Collaborate with the Fine Arts department faculty in the production of a spring musical
Become (and remain engaged) as an active member of GMEA and GISA to provide students the opportunities to participate in all-state and all-select events
Develop, create and adopt applicable chorus and strings curriculum
Rehearse with students on a daily basis in the Middle and Upper Schools

Bachelor's degree in Music required; Master's degree preferred
Must have previous teaching experience and a commitment to Christian Education
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Experience working as part of an academic team and facilitating a collaborative, trusting atmosphere among teaching colleagues
Eagerness to serve in a faith-based learning environment, modeling diligence, perseverance, resilience, patience, courage and Christian discipleship
Develop opportunities for additional performances within the local community
