St. Albans School of Washington, D.C. is seeking a full-time executive assistant to the Headmaster of St. Albans School beginning July 2018. The position, which reports directly to the Head of School, involves managing daily operations (including correspondence, mailings, meetings, events, and contracts), controlling the calendar, planning events, working on short-term as well as strategic projects, and serving as the first point of contact for the Headmaster’s Office. Strong candidates will exhibit exceptional organization and interpersonal skills; an ability to communicate clearly and write well; a talent for discerning priorities for the school and its Head; a willingness to work long hours, coupled with energy and stamina; a gift for multi-tasking and for working independently; joy in collaborative efforts, love of children, and pleasure in working with colleagues; an understanding of the importance of working with parents and trustees; and, of course, the highest discretion.
