Summary: Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO), and working in conjunction with an HR Consultant, the Human Resources Generalist will provide day-to-day management of the human resources work of the School. This position is also responsible for processing the payroll biweekly. This is a 3-day per week, full-year, benefits eligible position. Schedule can be flexible.
Administer all human resources policies and procedures.
Organize, and implement all human resources activities of the School; participate in developing business office goals, objectives, and systems; maintain personnel records and HRIS information as assigned generating reports as needed.
Work collaboratively with staff supervisors to define positions, write job descriptions, advertise and recruit, manage resumes, schedule interviews and check references for staff positions; assist with faculty hiring as appropriate.
Implement on-boarding and off-boarding procedures.
Update and maintain Employee Handbook.
Prepare and maintain new hire and rehire letters for employees.
Process bi-weekly payroll utilizing ADP software.
Manage the annual review process for members of the staff.
Administer new employee benefits, benefits enrollment processes, reporting requirements and appropriate documentation. Verify accuracy of invoices.
Identify personnel matters that need attention and work in collaboration to develop and implement resolutions.
Maintain employee files before, during and after employment, segregating all HIPAA-related documents.
Complete government reports and surveys as required.
Participate in new employee training, benefits education programs, and other training as necessary.
Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to introduce best practices and to effect continual improvements in both department efficiency and in services performed.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Ability to sit at a computer for long periods.
Ability to travel between campuses as needed.
A bachelor's degree.
5 years of Human Resources experience with evidence of increasing responsibility.
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills including database management skills and experience with Google Apps required; ADP payroll and Blackbaud Financial Edge experience preferred.
