Villa Academy is seeking dynamic, knowledgeable full time Early Childhood Teacher. Villa Preschool serves students who are preparing for Kindergarten. Villa Academy’s Department of Early Learning licensed preschool program consists of four preschool classrooms (ages 3-5), each staffed with a teacher and instructional assistant.

Experience creating and sustaining effective parent partnerships
Effective oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with NAEYC Standards and Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines
Able to use instructional technology effectively including interactive whiteboards, document cameras, Google docs, and teacher web pages
Desire and enthusiasm for making Villa’s outdoor spaces an integral part of the preschool curriculum
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Familiarity with Second Step and Handwriting without Tears considered a plus!
Ability to perform the job responsibilities of this position

20 or 30 Hours Basic STARS course certificate

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education
Current Washington state teaching certificate (or in process)
Relevant teaching experience in an accredited school
Practicing Catholic preferred
