Cristo Rey of Richmond seeking a Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) Director who is passionate about improving education for traditionally underserved students in the Richmond area. The Director oversees all work-study activities, including overall policy, job sourcing strategy, operations, administration, and budget. The Director demonstrates a strong skillset to develop and manage a variety of projects from visioning to implementation. The Director is a member of the school’s Leadership Team, responsible for collaborating with the President, Principal, and Director of Advancement on all matters that pertain to both the High School and Corporate Work Study Program.
Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) is a unique feature of Cristo Rey model. The school includes this subsidiary employment agency which trains the students for entry-level clerical employment, hires them, and markets their services to local businesses. Typically, four students share one full-time position from August through June. The fees for the students’ services go directly to the school to underwrite a significant portion of the cost of education.
Recruit and secure Corporate Partners for the work-study program
Ensure there are sufficient jobs to support student enrollment
Manage the day-to-day operations of the work-study program
Together with the Principal, integrate the students’ school and work experiences for the academic and social development advantage of the students

Cristo Rey Richmond High School is a Catholic learning community that educates young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service. Through a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, integrated with a relevant work study experience, students graduate ready to succeed in college and in life.
The new Cristo Rey Richmond High School located in Richmond, Virginia will employ a unique educational model that prepares low income, urban youth for college, with the goal of 100% of our students accepted into and completing college. Currently, there will be 100 students accepted for Cristo Rey Richmond’s opening in the fall of 2019, with plans to grow the enrollment to 400.

Qualifications and Experience
S/he must have a background in sales and the management of sales professionals, general management
Experience in secondary education and/or work with high school age youth
Coaching and training urban young people to be successful
Ability to engage, supervise, motivate, and evaluate high school age students from low-income and racial/ethnic minority backgrounds
Strong written and oral communication skills and be a mission and data-driven, collaborative leader who enjoys working on a high performing team
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field; Masters preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales and business administration, including staff supervision
