York Country Day School seeks a dynamic and dedicated Full-Time Spanish teacher. The selected candidate will join the faculty for the 2018-2019 school year.
Founded in 1953, York Country Day School is a progressive, independent, college preparatory school in York, PA serving students in pre-K through twelfth grade. York Country Day School inspires and nurtures the innovative and creative spirit of students as they pursue their intellectual promise, as well as social and civic passions. Students at York Country Day School are known and valued as integral members of an engaging community.
Beginning August 2018, the Spanish teacher will instruct Spanish courses for middle and upper school students. The teacher may be called upon to advise students or sponsor a club, as well. All teachers are expected to be involved in the life of the school and participate in school events.
The ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in Spanish Education. Previous teaching in an independent school setting is desired. Interested candidates should have expertise in an active, 21st century learning environment. The ideal candidate will be an excellent role model and engaging teacher for students in grades 8-12.
