The administrative coordinator is a dynamic systems-thinker who is passionate about education and excited to work in a fast-paced environment working across departments. The administrative coordinator is at the center of his/her division; developing, planning and performing a wide range of tasks that ensure the organization is guiding students to become world-wise leaders ready to solve global-scale problems. The administrative coordinator is also a key player in the campus-wide operations team, providing key administrative support to the Director of Operations and Administration. The administrative coordinator responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Run highly effective, smoothly-functioning systems including attendance, transportation and the student information database.
Work with Office of Public Transportation to prepare bus routes, ridership information, and Metro cards.
Work closely with the Lower Division Operations Leader to support the division leadership team, the student success team and the teaching faculty with operations, day to day coordination, special projects and scheduling.
Function as the point of contact for all lower division inquiries. Maintains division-specific calendar and communicates key information to families, students and staff.
Ensure the Director of Operations and Administration’s calendar is up to date and clear of conflicts.
Provide the materials, tools and support to the DOA to effectively lead the campus staff team.
Coordinate logistics for division-wide and school events (parent teacher conferences, curriculum nights, field trips, etc.) Foster a division-wide culture of excellence.
Supervise children with an ethic of care.
At least two years’ previous related work experience, preferably in a school setting.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Ability to collaborate with others and build relationships with multiple stakeholders including families, students, teachers, etc.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly in written and oral interactions.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and a results orientation.
Ability to solve problems quickly and with a minimum of disruption.
Ability to adjust to a flexible work schedule as necessary.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Google’s G Suite, office and computer equipment.
Fluency in either Spanish or Mandarin is preferred.
