The Winsor School is an independent girls' school for academically promising and motivated students in grades five through twelve. The school is currently seeking an experienced part-time Upper School Spanish teacher for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Successful candidates will have subject expertise in advanced Spanish grammar and an interest in teaching a range of language levels, from beginning Spanish classes to upper-level culture and current events courses. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least two or three years of experience teaching Spanish to high school students. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and fluency in English are expected. Candidates must be dedicated to motivating girls' success in languages. A commitment to diversity work, an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life, and the use of a variety of pedagogical approaches in the classroom are essential, as is the ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process.
