Approach and Methodologies
St. Anne’s School is in the early stages of accreditation to become an International Baccalaureate World School (PYP and MYP). Our core curricular approach is based on central-subject studies, which includes elements of the project approach and a Reggio Emilia inspired approach to learning, a balanced literacy reader’s and writer’s workshop approach, robust foreign language instruction, and a rigorous mathematics program. We are committed to vibrant arts, lab-based science, design and engineering, thoughtful use of technology, and the relevance of mindful physical, nature-based, and outdoor education. We enjoy a strong commitment to service learning. A significant strength of the school’s rigorous academic program is based in our social-emotional learning program, which recognizes understanding a child’s physical and emotional development as foundational to the work of a school. We employ the tenets of the Responsive Classroom and Developmental Designs holistically. As an Episcopal school, we celebrate diversity and value the dignity of every human being, which includes a commitment to anti-bias curriculum and diversity education in our teaching and learning practices.
We are seeking candidates at all phases of their careers, who possess an openness to learning and collaboration, and a willingness to think, teach and lead. Experience and training as a part of an International Baccalaureate World School is preferred. Clear communication skills, a strong work ethic, a collaborative nature, and good humor are essential to success.
The school offers competitive salary and benefits compensation.
