Trinity Episcopal School is currently seeking an energetic and dynamic Physical Education Teacher for the 2018-19 school year. This employee would teach at the Lower School (grades PK-4) and Middle School (grades 5-8) grade levels. Candidates must be willing to coach throughout the school year.
Trinity offers a student centered physical education curriculum that is based on the development of lifelong wellness skills. We aim to enhance students’ movement and physical abilities, offering active experiences that make positive contributions to cognitive and affective aspects of each child’s development.
Trinity’s Lower School physical education program emphasizes progressive movement form and continued development of motor skills. The Middle School curriculum promotes co-educational activities that combine fundamental techniques in motor forms, games and sports. Athletic sport teams including volleyball, flag football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, track and baseball/softball are offered practice time during both scheduled Physical Education class periods and after school.
Experience: Previous physical education experience is required in elementary or middle school grades, Independent School experience and/or certification strongly preferred. Coaching experience is also preferred.
