The Advancement Associate will be part of the Advancement team reporting to the Associate Director of Alumnae Relations and the Associate Director of Annual Giving. This position will split its time 65% with the Alumnae Relations office and 35% with the Annual Giving office. Routine duties include assisting the alumnae fundraising program with marketing, relationship building, and social media presence and assisting the parent fundraising program with volunteer management.
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities to the Associate Director of Advancement (65% of the time):
Assists in implementing alumnae fundraising programs and events, including outreach and communications, and updating alumnae technology platforms.
Manages alumnae content of the website and monitors the alumnae email box on behalf of the Associate Director of Alumnae Relations.
Edit of various alumnae focused communications, solicitations, and other marketing and fundraising materials.
Manages alumnae event logistics, including invitations, RSVPs, name tags.
Supports the Associate Director of Alumnae Relations in their engagement with the Alumnae Council and Young Alumnae Council
Assists with outreach to college age alumnae.
In conjunction with the Database Coordinator, assists with maintenance of the alumnae database, ensuring contact information is updated regularly.
Answer and screen all and alumnae phone and email requests.
Manages class agents and the collection of class notes for the spring Momentum Magazine.
Responsibilities to the Associate Director of Annual Giving (35% of the time):
Supports the Associate Director of Annual Giving with managing the parent volunteers, including managing the volunteer digital platform, EverTrue.
Monitors the volunteer and past parent email boxes on behalf of the Associate Director of Annual Giving.
Assists the Associate Director of Annual Giving with the logistics of the parent Phone-a-Thon including managing RSVPs, preparing training materials and other necessary documents.
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Alumnae Relations and Associate Director of Annual Giving.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to independently prioritize competing task and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially with mail merges, and Google Apps Suite, including Google Forms.
High-degree of comfortability navigating social media platforms.
Prior experience in managing and updating records within a complex database, Raiser’s Edge experience is a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years’ professional administrative experience.
