Léman Manhattan Preparatory School seeks a full-time Student Information System / Learning Management System Administrator for the 2018-2019 school year!
Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, in downtown Manhattan is seeking an experienced PowerSchool administrator. Reporting to the Director of Technology she/he will be responsible for all aspects of the PowerSchool SIS/LMS systems including attendance, grades, health information, onboarding and off boarding student and employees, and handling all student data reporting needs.
Responsible for the technical operations and system administration of the LMS/SIS application including, but not limited to, system configuration, eCourse deployment, user enrollment, performance management, and resolution of technical issues, ensuring the system is properly configured and supported at all times. This individual will work closely with the IT team, teachers and learners across school to ensure our learning systems are leveraged for success.
The PowerSchool SIS and LMS administrator’s responsibilities include:
Maintain and support PowerSchool SIS.
Maintain and support PowerSchool Leaning (LMS).
Be the primary technical contact for the school with PowerSchool.
Yearly Rollover / End of Year Process / Beginning of Year Process.
Train, support, and troubleshoot with teachers on gradebook (Power Teacher Pro).
Coordinates and oversees distribution of Parent Portal login information and responsible for parent User IDs, passwords and access codes.
Serving as a point of escalation for all system issues, administrative aspects, and important processes of the LMS, including managing user groups, user permissions and notifications, and configuration.
Assist Educational Directors with establishing curricular scheduling for teachers and students.
Ensure current functionality is maintained and determine the integrity of new functionality.
Develop and revise processes and procedures, standards and guidelines relating to schools' databases.
Understand and apply system wide workflow and processes as well as relationships with other internal and external databases.
Maintain workflow of new and expiring student/staff accounts.
User Training: Responsible for the training and support of all faculty and staff, in both the SIS and LMS functions or PowerSchool.
Possesses a good understanding of all components, features, and functions of PowerSchool SIS and LMS (preferred) or similar SIS and LMS systems.
Great Interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in school systems in an administrative capacity.
Demonstrated proficiency in data input, analyzing data, and data accuracy.
Ability to manage own time and effort.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information System or related field is a plus.
