Teach five courses in the Language Department in grades 6-12 and supervise two after-school activities. Perform the role of student advisor and assume other duties as assigned by the Head of Middle School.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the school.
Develop course curricula aligned to learning standards, create lesson plans with defined learning objectives.
Maintain current and detailed documentation for all students, including information related to grading, behavior, attendance, etc.
Communicate proactively with administrators, colleagues, and parents.
Advise an assigned roster of students and monitor their academic and social progress throughout the year.
Supervise after-school activities while ensuring student safety at all times, giving direction, and modeling good behavior and citizenship.
Research current trends in language content and instructional methods appropriate to teaching Spanish and Latin. Pursue professional development opportunities that will strengthen your skills and broaden your knowledge to advance the educational objectives of the school.

Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Latin, language education, or similar. Master’s degree in education-related field preferred.
At least four years of experience as a classroom teacher.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
