Job Title: UPPER/MIDDLE SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Reports to: Upper/Middle School Division Head
Undergraduate degree in Physical Education or related field or discipline; master’s degree preferred.
Significant experience coaching athletes and working with athletic teams and staff
Strong commitment to 21st century instructional strategies and familiarity with NASPE standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching classes of boys and girls at the Upper/Middle School level with a team of eleven other physical educators
Coaching at least two sports, which may be at the junior varsity or varsity level
Additionally, successful candidates should demonstrate:
a love of working with secondary school students
an engaging teaching style
the ability to create and promote an inclusive learning environment
the ability to build partnerships with colleagues
Ability to engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out; sitting and standing for long periods of time; ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified.
