Ransom Everglades School seeks applications for a full time, Middle School teaching position in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department starting in August 2018. The successful candidate will teach courses in our middle school computer science program, contribute to the continued development of our computer science curriculum, participate in departmental and faculty discussions, and participate in student activities, coaching, advising, or otherwise be engaged in the life of the school. Course assignments will include programming and robotics, and may include mathematics, depending on the experience of the successful candidate; candidates with interest and experience in robotics, app development, and Future City are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to the Department’s ongoing discussions about project-based learning, the integration of technology in teaching and learning, and research, and be comfortable with the School’s value for inquiry-based, student-centered learning. Three years of teaching experience is preferred. Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
