We have high expectations for our students, and we are looking for teachers to join our team who have:
a proven record of classroom teaching experience; minimum five years with age range in a private/independent school
high energy who can incorporate several styles of teaching and use varied approaches in a responsive classroom
strong communication skills (written and verbal)
ability to collaborate successfully and flexibly
skills to engage and inspire students
demonstrate a growth mindset, a commitment to ongoing professional development
Integrate meaningful and appropriate use of technology within the curriculum
Experience teaching Language Arts and Math

Dedicated to developing character and the abilities to think and communicate clearly, Canton Country Day seeks to fully prepare its graduates to meet the challenges of rigorous secondary school programs and to assume positions of responsibility in their communities.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities include curriculum planning, implementing instruction, and executing effective classroom management strategies using the Responsive Classroom methods. Additionally, all teachers are expected to communicate with parents throughout the year through regular correspondence, weekly classroom updates, conferences, and grade reporting periods. All teachers should provide guidance and support to both the students and their families, and working closely with grade/division level team members, specialists, administrators, and other colleagues to ensure that all students make academic and social progress in accordance with our school’s mission and core values.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school with an applicable license/credential, superior teaching skills, excellent character, and a proven legacy of outstanding classroom performance. Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication skills are expected. Ability to be an innovative, collaborative, and positive member of the faculty is required.
