About The Alexander Dawson School At Rainbow Mountain
The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain is a coeducational, nondenominational, independent day school for college-bound students in preschool (age 3) through Middle School (8th grade). Our school is located on a 40-acre site in the foothills of the mountains west of Las Vegas in the community of Summerlin. Dawson offers our 600 students wonderful facilities and great teaching. Built at a cost of more than $35 million, our campus includes an Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) for three- and four-year-olds with low teacher-to-student ratios (1 to 8). The Lower School (Kindergarten – 4th grade) and Upper School (5th -8th grade) are taught in state-of-the-art classroom buildings. We are proud to offer more than $1 million each year in financial aid to qualified families. In addition, we offer four foreign languages, including Mandarin, and several merit-based scholarships for Middle School students.
