Bernard Zell seeks a motivated educator to take primary responsibility for developing, managing, coordinating, scheduling, and promoting the school’s existing early-morning (BZ Before) and after-school (BZ Beyond and BZ Enrichment) programs and the development of additional programming for non-school days, including a potential summer program. This is a full-time position with hours that may vary based on the program schedule and other staffing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Development & Implementation
Take lead responsibility for ensuring that all extra-curricular programming supports the school’s philosophy and goals, and connects to the school’s mission, vision, and brand
Oversee marketing and promotion of all programming
Curate BZ Enrichment offerings to fit the needs and desires for students and families
Maintain program calendar and online registration system
Coordinate with the Finance Office to manage revenues and expenses and matters of financial aid
Ensure a wide range of programming across multiple age groups (Nursery-8th grade)
Maintain and secure equipment, materials, and supplies as appropriate
Research, recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate vendors and instructors for BZ Enrichment (classes offered before and after school hours)
Supervise and evaluate afternoon program staff for BZ Beyond (the extended day program for Nursery through Fourth Grade)
Coordinate logistics of BZ Before (care for students before school hours)
Communicate with parents and caretakers regularly and proactively, providing top-notch customer service
Ensure health and safety of all participants in all programs
Assess and evaluate programs and instructors, constantly soliciting formal and informal feedback from all constituents
Respond promptly and effectively to student or parent questions or concerns and staff and vendor needs
Collaborate with Bernard Zell staff, particularly division heads on the well-being of students before and after school
Produce data and reports as needed, including regular feedback from parent surveys
Ensure a strong customer service approach to all aspects of BZ student activities, building raving fans
Support other school functions if necessary and as time permits

Non-profit child centered experience preferred.
Program management experience preferred.
Independent school experience is a plus.
