Dwight School is seeking a full-time Media Arts Teacher beginning in August 2018 for the 2018-19 school year.
The daily responsibilities of the Media Arts Teacher are to:
Teach IB Middle Years Program (MYP) Digital Media courses for Grades 9 and 10
Teach IB Diploma Program (DP) Film Course for Grades 11 and 12
Continue the development of the scope and sequence of the Digital Media and Film Program for grades 9-12 in collaboration with Visual Arts teachers.
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Experience with teaching film/digital media in schools
Experience working with a 1:1 program with laptops and/or tablets
Experience with the following (or similar): Adobe Creative Suite 6 and Final Cut Pro
Experience with the IB Middle Years Program and IB Diploma Years Program (preferred)
A record of success teaching to a range of learners
Ability to contribute positively to the community with patience and humor
