St. Andrew’s School seeks a full-time Arts Department Technical Production Director to join the Arts Department for the 2018-2019 school year.
Primary responsibilities include managing, designing, and executing designs for arts department performances and school-related events with Upper School and Middle School student involvement, serving as technical theatre director and designer for arts department and school-related events, developing curriculum and teaching 2 or 3 technical theatre courses for grades 6-12, and overseeing use and care of arts building.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an expert knowledge of design and technical theater, the ability to teach many facets of stagecraft with an emphasis on safety, the ability to give students hands-on experience, ability to manage and organize facility and its use, and the skills to work collaboratively as part of an arts team.
Three or more years of successful technical theatre teaching experience preferred. Master’s degree preferable or comparable experience.
