The Berkeley School, a progressive independent school in the East Bay portion of the San Francisco Bay Area, seeks a full-time faculty member to join our multicultural, learner-centered community as an assistant teacher in a third grade classroom.

The teacher in this position, through mentorship with the lead teacher, will assist in teaching reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, social/emotional learning, social justice/anti-bias, and service learning. They assume duties including recess and lunch supervision and attend meetings during the day and after school.
Candidates must have a B.A. and a commitment to the teaching profession, with some experience working with elementary aged children; candidates in teacher training programs are welcome.
