The Campus Minister is an instrumental figure in promoting spirituality among the members of the Archmere community. The Campus Minister helps to guide the school community spiritually by articulating and living Archmere’s mission, fostering and growing our faith community among all students, faculty, staff and parents.
To achieve this level of spirituality, the Campus Minister creates, organizes, and oversees Morning Prayer, the celebration of all school liturgies and religious services, spiritual programming, and student retreats. The Campus Minister has a vital role in both the planning and implementation of all spiritual events. The Campus Minister works closely with the Campus Chaplain.
Create, organize, and supervise the celebration of school-wide liturgies, prayer services and faith programs for students and faculty
Organize and oversee the progression of student retreats for freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors
Animate and manage daily Kenosis
Manage and coordinate the Kairos retreat program
Provide varied and themed daily morning prayer
Train and oversee student ministers and student volunteers involved in all religious events
Organize and participate in summer service programs
Develop religious programming which speaks to the Norbertine ideals of communio, worship, contemplation and service
Provide daily counseling, spiritual direction and faith building support to students
Manage, evaluate and collaborate with the Campus Chaplain
Teach religion classes as needed
BA (MA preferred) degree in religious studies
Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church
Experience with campus ministry in a high school/college campus setting
Liturgical planning experience with music, minister preparation, and liturgical environment
Experience with inspiring and collaborating with both teenagers and faculty in a common, faith-based mission
Excellent written and communication skills
Passionate work ethic that extends as needed beyond the 8 to 4:30 school day
