Rumsey Hall School is seeking an Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Relations, an integral member of the School’s Development team.
Parent and Alumni Annual Fund Management * Collaborate with Director of Advancement to establish annual fundraising goals, objectives, and projections. Monitor, analyze and evaluate giving patterns, and use these metrics to inform projections, goals, and annual campaign strategy for success year over year. * Manage all aspects of the Annual Fund including direct solicitations, direct mail, electronic appeals and special campaigns to achieve annual goals. * Collaborate with Director of Advancement to develop all annual fund communications and content, including brochures, appeals, acknowledgement letters, emails, etc. * Renew and upgrade current donors, increase participation rates of all constituencies, increase acquisition rates of new donors. * Collaborate with Gift and Database Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to Development to maintain integrity of the database by implementing processes and procedures to ensure all annual fund gifts are properly recorded and coded and all outreach (engagement, solicitation, gift acknowledgment, stewardship) is properly tracked.
Prospect & Relationship Management * Collaborate with the Director of Advancement to establish and maintain an annual giving prospect pipeline. * Collaborate with the Director of Advancement to integrate annual giving and major gift solicitation strategies.
Volunteer Management * Manage Alumni Games and Reunion weekend. * Manage and Develop alumni and parent cultivation programs domestically and internationally in collaboration with the Director of Advancement. * Identify, recruit, train and manage volunteers (parents and alumni). * Serve as staff liaison to Rumsey Circle (parents’ association), attending meetings, supporting them as needed and developing relationships with leadership in collaboration with Development Associate. * Manage fundraising and other donor related events in collaboration with the Director of Advancement.
* Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3-5 years professional experience; ideally 3 years plus experience in development or related field is required. * Demonstrated success managing a multi-dimensional annual giving program. * Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. * Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. * Ability to organize, prioritize, and successfully execute multiple concurrent tasks; to anticipate needs and act accordingly, and to perform with a high degree of initiative. * Ability to work both independently, as well as a participating and supporting member of a team. * Ability and willingness to travel. Work nights and weekends as required. * Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, donors and prospects, administrators, and staff. * Experience providing a high level of professional service to internal and external constituents. * Proficiency in database management and high level of comfort using data to inform decision-making; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred.
* Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred. * Ability to live on campus and be an active participant in the Rumsey Hall School boarding community. * Fundraising experience in an independent school is preferred.
