Ethical Culture Fieldston School is a progressive PreK-12 independent school that has been serving students from throughout New York City and the surrounding suburbs since 1878. ECFS offers a rich curriculum in the arts, sciences, and humanities. A co-ed, nonsectarian school, it serves a diverse community of about 1,700 students on two campuses -- one in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, and the other in Manhattan. The Upper School, located in the Bronx, is comprised of approximately 600 students and over 100 faculty members.

Currently, we have a full-time position as Special Testing Administrator for our Upper Division. The position will begin August 15, 2018.
Scope of Position:
Prepare and submit applications for ACT/SAT testing accommodations and administer ACT/SAT special testing
Oversee Upper School Testing Center
Incorporate information provided by the Learning Center Department Chair into student Learning Plans.
Maintain evaluation documents.
Manage deadlines and consent forms for both ACT and SAT.
Communicate with parents regarding the application process.
Verify that the documentation on file at school supports each request.
Submit applications for both the SAT and ACT.
Maintain digital files.
Coordinate with Learning Specialists, Learning Center Department Chair, and college counselors as needed to understand testing and accommodations needed.
Submit change of request forms for SAT and ACT.
Coordinate with parent/s regarding information needed to appeal an unfavorable decision; gather letters from specialists and tutors.
Coordinate with Test Coordinator around students with Special Testing.
Administer special testing examinations for both ACT and SAT.
Package special testing materials in collaboration with the testing coordinator for non-special standardized testing.
Establish protocols for teachers to submit assessments for students using the Testing Center.

Previous experience working with high school students preferred.
Previous experience working in an independent school preferred.
