Albert Einstein Academy (Einstein) is the Brandywine Valley’s premier Jewish Day School. Located in North Wilmington, Delaware and only minutes from the Pennsylvania border, we serve elementary school students in grades K-5. Einstein educates students in an intimate environment to be “inquisitive learners, critical thinkers, and dynamic leaders.” Our school is accredited through the Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools and is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Delaware.
Einstein is seeking an energetic, committed, and entrepreneurial professional to serve as its next Director of Admissions. The Director is responsible for prospecting, recruiting, enrolling, and retaining students whose family’s values align with Einstein’s. The Director develops marketing and strategic plans to position Einstein as a school of choice both inside and outside the Jewish community. The Director is a member of the administrative team and collaborates with faculty and staff and other community organizations to maintain and develop programming that demonstrates the value of an Einstein education. This individual must understand and effectively promote the important role of a Jewish Day School in the local Jewish community.

Conceive and execute strategies to achieve aggressive enrollment and retention goals

Cultivation and Recruiting
Develop inquiries through the management of activities including:
Developing and enhancing referral sources and networks including feeder schools, alumni, and current and former parents
Promoting the understanding of Einstein and increasing referrals
Using social media and social media marketing to boost Einstein exposure
Identifying, scheduling and attending open houses and school fairs
Visiting feeder schools and their staff
Identifying and managing advertising opportunities
Convert Inquiries into Applications through the following:
Prompt response to inquiries
Assessing fit and values alignment through data collection
Track inquiries and add them to promotional communications
Promoting Einstein and its activities through printed materials, social media marketing, and conversations
Convert Applications into Enrollments through the following:
Schedule assessments for students
Inform parents of assessment results and offer admission accordingly
Connect applicants to others who can help sell the school such as current parents, faculty, and alumni
Actively solicit and track enrollment forms
Retain current students through the following:
Communicate with faculty and parents to identify concerns
Assist with Curriculum Celebration, Family Activities, and other programming aimed at retention
Plan and execute re-enrollment process including contracts, incentives, and tracking
The Director of Admissions and Recruitment is supervised by the Head of School.
Monthly benchmarks for goals are set in coordination with the Recruitment and Retention Committee.
Education, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Minimum 3 years of experience in admissions, prospect management or sales.
