The Upper School Science department seeks candidates for a full-time physics and/or chemistry teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching physics to ninth grade students incorporating modeling techniques or other inquiry-based classroom strategies. Teaching assignments may also include chemistry classes based on the candidate’s prior experience. The candidate will be at her/his best when working collaboratively with other science teachers to develop courses that challenge students to think like scientists. Building positive student-teacher relationships while creating meaningful and engaging classroom experiences is a must. Other opportunities for involvement in the Cannon School community include leading an advisory, coaching, sponsoring a club, leading field trips, etc.
BA required, Masters preferred, a minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferred
