Calvert School, an independent lower and middle school, is searching for a temporary Long-term Kindergarten (Fifth Age) Substitute Homeroom Teacher in September 2018. Calvert School is located in Tuscany-Canterbury, a residential neighborhood in Baltimore City, just north of Johns Hopkins University and south of Loyola University Maryland, accessible from Charles Street and I-83.
Substitute teachers play a pivotal role in the overall education of our students. When our teachers are absent we rely on quality substitute teachers to help ensure continuation of regular school classes and activities. The qualified candidate will teach Fifth Age boys and girls and will be responsible for managing the daily affairs of a classroom including parent communications. The teacher will be responsible for daily instruction of reading and math and other content areas including writing and handwriting. The assignment will begin in mid-September 2018 and end in mid-January 2019.
