The Director of Admission and Enrollment Management reports to the Head of School (HOS) and is a member of Administration. The DOA works with the HOS to establish a culture of year round recruiting and retention among all members of the RCDS community – faculty, staff, parents and alumni. The DOA supports the mission of the school by ensuring that it is communicated effectively and working collaboratively with all constituencies.
Core Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Establishes and maintains best practices and continual assessment of same in conjunction with HOS, Administration, Division Directors, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Board of Trustees (BOT).
In collaboration with Administration and the BOT, develops short term and long term strategies and enrollment goals. Leads efforts to formulate long range strategic admission, re-enrollment/retention policies to support same.
Continually evaluates and redesigns where appropriate all aspects of admission and marketing in conjunction with the Director of Communication to maintain capacity enrollment of qualified students and help all associated with the school to understand good marketing.
Provide enrollment forecasting using empirical content/data (demographics and economic/behavioral trends): indicates predictors of success. Provides meaningful benchmarking.
Integrates all aspects of the school’s enrollment, re-enrollment and retention process through graduation including the implementation and evaluation of effective student recruitment and selection; coordinates efforts across all grade levels from Nursery through 8th
Prepares reports on institutional progress toward meeting short and long term goals and analysis of student body and yearly activity to Administration, BOT and faculty; report to the BOT as called upon.
Manages the electronic data for admission/retention and recommends policies to optimize ongoing use.
Supervises and delegates work to Admission Assistant.
Creates and implements a tuition assistance program that effectively leverages merit or need based student aid to fulfill the school’s mission and overall net revenue, and works collaboratively with the Tuition Assistance Committee, consisting of the Director of Admission, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Head of School, to allocate tuition assistance.
Maintains outreach to feeder schools to foster ongoing relationships; seeks new markets.
