St. Mark’s Episcopal School in Houston, Texas is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Headmaster to support a dynamic and engaged Head’s Office. The Executive Assistant to the Headmaster is a key member of the administrative staff team and reports directly to the Headmaster. We are looking for a highly skilled and flexible professional who understands and employs diplomacy while supporting the Headmaster in his relationships with all constituent groups within the school community.
The primary function of the Executive Assistant is to support the prioritization and execution of all initiatives of the Headmaster’s Office. This includes, but is not limited to:
Managing and coordinating logistics for the Headmaster
Overseeing and anticipating the Headmaster’s calendar and daily schedule
Assisting and supporting the Headmaster in his preparation for meetings and events
Attending meetings as a recorder for the Headmaster
Outstanding written and oral communication
Ability to set and maintain priorities within a complex environment
Attention to detail, while maintaining big picture goals
A high level of diplomacy and emotional intelligence
Proactive and growth-minded
A collaborative and joyful spirit
Technology Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of the following software and products:
Google Office Suite
Knowledge of Blackbaud and Finalsite are a plus
A Bachelor’s degree is required; a focus in education, communications, or a related field preferred
Work experience in a school setting preferred
Knowledge of independent school settings preferred
Work experience as an executive assistant preferred
