Cold Spring School is seeking a part-time (2-3 days a week) learning specialist for the 2018-2019 school year. The learning specialist will work collaboratively with the Director and Head teachers from preschool through sixth grade. Responsibilities include conducting observations, informal evaluations, and providing direct support and instruction to students with identified needs in Reading, Writing and Math.
Qualified candidates will possess 3-5 years of experience in classroom teaching and a Masters degree in learning disabilities or a related field. Experience with Reading and Writing Workshop, Word Study, and Math is beneficial. An understanding of the developmental stages of elementary-aged children is a must. Candidate must feel confident in presenting learning profiles and making recommendations to parents and teachers while tracking student progress over time.
Additional Salary Information: Job is part time, 2-3 days per week
